Lucid Dreaming
Okay, what I want to tell you next is about lucid dream.
What is lucid dreaming?
That is my first question. lucid dreaming that gives you the ability to control your dreams. Dreams are basically created screen savers, like your computer'
Has. Your computer goes into screensaver each time you put it to sleep, right? The same process but the subconscious doesn't want you to be just happy. The dreams that we get are based on what we see and perceive and what we think about ourselves. Our conscious mind is a rational mind, it cannot see something irrationally, there will always be rationally. Be hungry for days and it will show me food. There's a differece between conscious and subconscious. If I see food when I'm hungry, first thing I'd be thinking about is eating for myself then I'll give it to others or some people who needs it. Or otherwise I would give to everyone but feel hungry myself. Everybody's character differs but the subconscious mind will always think in such a way that everything is equal. For the same situation when subconscious mind sees the food it will divide all the food to everyone equally. That means how much share of food that I get will be the same share that he gets. That's the difference between conscious and subconscious. This is not the basic theory of the subconscious but this can help you understand what is the difference between the conscious mind and subconscious mind dreams are basically based on this subconscious level. You cannot directly control your subconscious. Only indirectly, but in your dream, you're out of control. You are like a music system that just hit play and the only thing you can do is hit pause or stop. Can you control the lines of the song? No, even if you try your best. In case of human minds nothing is impossible. When you go to sleep every day you dream about something. What if you could control your dreams. Suddenly in your dream you realise, looking at everything, that it's a dream.
"Oh, that didn't exist the last time right?"
"Where did the tattoo in my hand go?"
These simple doubts can actually trigger consciousness in your head even when you are dreaming. The first time when you try lucid dreaming, you will surely wake up. Believe me. I was so excited. I woke up like three to four times in a row and I had to try for almost an entire month just to get home like 30 seconds in my dream.
These 30 seconds feel like a long time. That's another story.
There are certain stupid things that people do when they lucid dream. The first time anyone's lucid dreams. 90% of the time, 90% of the people will go for sex. Any girl, you can find you will start humping because that you can only do it in your dream. It will be like a fantasy. But the problem is when you go to someone or something in your dream subconscious is what creates each person in that dream. That person might even turn into a monster. Believe me, I have experienced that. I got so scared that I woke up from my sleep.
Okay, let's start with how you can listen.
There are a lot of methods in the internet about how you can lucid dream. The first step you have to do to get into lucid dreaming is search about lucid dreaming, get it in your head, get it into your head to such a level that even the subconscious thinks about it. Read about it. Best idea is to read about it rather than just watching videos. When you read something that sticks in your head. But when you watch a video, it might not stay in your mind as much as when you read. I don't know about others. But it's like that for me. I have to read something again and again so that it can get into my head. The best method I think is possible is the cat (Cycle Adjustment Technique).
Search for it in Google.
Okay, this is how it works. Imagine you wake up every day at 8am. From next day onwards, for an entire week you have to wake up every day at 7am (that is 1hr earlier than usual). Put your alarm at 7. Whenever the alarm rings, rather than just sleeping or pressing the snooze button again and again just get up and do something, maybe go drink some water, eat something, read something. Just don't be in your bed. This is to train your brain to be awake at the specific time. Just get out from the bed at 7am every day for almost a week.
After one week, your brain will be programmed to be conscious at 7. what you need to do after this is wake up at one hour gap alternatively. If you wake up one day at seven, the next day, you need to wake up at 8am after one hour of sleep. At first you'll automatically wake up at seven. Do this alternatively, again and again. When you wake up at seven even though you sleep till 8 you can go to sleep directly on the bed itself just don't get up from the bed. (That's easy right). If you continue doing this, your mind will get adjusted to it. That means if you knew that today I have to wake up at seven you will wake up at 7. But on a day on which you have to wake up at 8 you will be asleep but will accidently wake up in your dream.
Consciousness will automatically trigger in your head, when this happens you will know you're in a dream
When you look at everything, everything will seem weird. This weirdness will make you understand that it's a dream. There are methods to understand this weirdness and to check if you're lucid, I'm not going to explain that at all. Because you need to search for it. Search for it in the Google or YouTube. look for it.
Reality Check!
The method I use is I hold my nose and try to breathe.
It's hard to do it in the real world. But in a dream, if you close your nose with your hands and try to breathe, you can because that's what you want.
At first.
When you become lucid in the beginning, your heart will start to rise because we get too excited knowing that it's a dream. And will result in waking up from sleep. Excitement wakes you up at sleep. That's a big problem. Everybody gets excited when they fall lucid. So basically what you need to do is reduce that excitement.
Staying lucid.
There are a lot of methods like closing your eyes and thinking about calm thoughts. I try to think about chairs. (I actually saw this in a movie for an entirely different situation) think of a topic that doesn't get you excited at the same time don't lose your lucidity either. Try rubbing your hands together to stay lucid. Just close your eyes and keep your two hands together and try rubbing them together. Yeah, at first I felt like even in my bed I'm doing the same rubbing action with my hands. When you are in sleep You're like in a different body. Even when you walk around in a dream you will feel it, as if you are floating around. So if you need to stay lucid, then you need to control your lucidity.
This is where comes the creation part.
Imagine your dream is created entirely in your head. Your body has been doing this for so long. You can basically be a GOD and can create whatever you want. You can fly if you want to. Ever tried flying. I have in my dreams. It's a crazy thing. Everything is crazy In a dream.
Craziness at a level that it's real.
You can create a creature that doesn't exist.
You can create a person that doesn't exist.
You can talk to anyone even talk to celebrities
Don't go for sex (or at least not sex only) First and foremost, I'd advise you to look at something else entirely. If you look for sex all the time, you will eventually get bored of lucid dreaming because you will have nothing else to do other than humping everything in the way. But if you look carefully at what you could do on your own, like a Superman, for example, you can do so much things in a dream. It's not that you can just think of flying and you will be able to fly.
You have to try it step by step.
First, I tried running really fast and putting my hands up. Then I tried jumping. On each jump I could go higher and higher. I felt like the Hulk jumping from place to place. But once you reach a certain height, and when you fall, you can actually glide through space. That simple feeling of gliding through space will make you know so calm, feeling of air sliding
your face. Some people even think of building wings just to get you higher. That also works. If you have wings you can fly, same principle. But the problem is that certain times, you will get into problems, I got stuck in the electricity lines where I was flying. Tangled, I couldn't get myself out of it. The frustration just got me excited. And I just woke up from my sleep. Waking up is a big problem. Unless if you try your best to go back to sleep.
Just close your eyes.
And think of the same incident again.
But I didn't want to go back to that tangled electricity lines scene again. So I didn't go back. I did this flying thing for around four months. It was so exciting. I always wanted to do it. I could go anywhere. What if you wanted to go to Paris, you can go to Paris in your dream.
There are no limits.
You can create a portal and just walk through to get to Paris.
MOVIES
There are movies that you can see to understand what the basics of lucid dreaming is. the first and foremost and the best one I have seen is not inception but "The Matrix". Matrix is based on lucid dreaming. Inception is based on the same theory. It's also a good movie, you can learn a lot from these movies. if it's your own mind, you can control your own dream. I can't get into someone else's head and dream for them. Figure out some cool things that you can do that no one has ever done.
Try searching about lucid dreaming and learn more about it. I have posted sites in the end of the blog just for you to learn more on how to lucid dream. There are a lot of methods that people use to get lucid. One of the methods that I have read about is, you keep a glass of water nearby and every day you will wake up at certain time feeling thirsty and grab the glass. And at each time, you have to do a reality test. When you do a reality test. at certain point, you will wake up in your dream and try to drink water.
you have to keep a DREAM JERNAL.
The problem with dreams is that when you wake up and start moving your muscles, you forget what you dreamt of. Try it yourself. When you wake up, you know what you dreamt about a second ago. Don't move your head. Just think about what you dreamt about. Now try the same thing after moving your hand once or your head once just as you get up you lose a part of the dream that you just dreamt of. Most people think that they they don't dream everyday whereas in reality you just forget what you dreamt of. So to keep a track of what you dreamt of you need a journal and you need it by the side of your head. I keep a notebook app on my phone just to keep my journals intact. This is the best idea that I can get. Just as you wake up from your sleep, grab your phone and type whatever you dreamt of. would take less than three to four minutes. Whenever you write something that you dreamt of, try to remember every bit of detail that you dreamt of, don't leave anything.
Always try doing a reality test.
Try your best to put reality test into your daily routine. If you do a reality test as your daily routine, you will be have the tendency to do a reality test in your dream. Every day you have to go to sleep at the same time. second best thing that you can do is never stay in bed when you're not sleeping. Just get up from your bed do something else. This will help you fall asleep faster. Every time you are on your bed, it's to sleep, so you will fall asleep faster. This is a very good idea if you want to sleep every day at the same time. I suggest you read about lucid dreaming a lot. There are certain methods like sublimation induction of lucid dreaming that helps by watching a video and triggering that lucid dream.
